Legal Awareness Training: 2025

Two-Day “Legal Awareness” Training Successfully Concluded:

The Human Rights and Rural Environment Conservation Center (HUREC Nepal), Surkhet, in collaboration with Ward No. 15, successfully organized a two-day “Legal Awareness” training in Birendranagar–15, Surkhet. The program aimed to enhance understanding of legal rights, responsibilities, and procedures among community members.

Objectives of the Training

The primary objectives of the training were:

  • To raise awareness about fundamental legal rights and responsibilities.

  • To educate participants on available legal mechanisms for justice.

  • To empower communities to address and prevent legal and human rights violations.

Participants

The training was attended by 38 local residents, community leaders, and representatives of civic organizations, fostering active engagement and discussions throughout the sessions. Participants were provided with practical guidance on addressing legal challenges at the community level.

  • Case studies and role plays to demonstrate rights protection and dispute resolution.
